Dutch yard Van der Valk has revealed a modernised version of its 24 metre Flybridge series at the Cannes Yachting Festival.

Designed by Cor D Rover, the new Flybridge will build on the yard’s Continental 2 range, which was first launched in 2007. The yard has currently sold 15 hulls in the series, including Valencia, Anemeli and Joy.

The new Flybridge model will not replace the Continental 2 series however, which Van der Valk said it expects to “remain very popular in the coming years.”

Built in aluminium, the new Flybridge will feature floor-to-ceiling windows with accommodation for a total of eight guests in four ensuite cabins. Power will come from triple Volvo Penta IPS1050 engines.

It comes after Van der Valk debuted its 32 metre custom series superyacht Jangada 2 at the Cannes Yachting Festival. Design and styling came from Nick Top and Guido De Groot while naval architecture was developed in-house with a moderate-V hard chine hull shape.
