Vripack have announced the build of a 20 metre Doggersbank 66 Offshore "pocket-sized explorer."
Commissioned by a repeat European client, the model will measure 20 metres in length and is designed to be a family-operated boat.
Doggersbank motor yachts are robust, offshore vessels, built for tackling long passages at sea and are characterised by a high bow. More than 700 have been built to date with previous designs ranging from 10 metres up to 30 metres.
“Doggersbank is like the Leatherman of Swiss army knives,” says Vripack co-creative director Bart Bouwhuis. “It's solid, rigid and highly engineered, and ready to perform in any condition. The Doggersbank has long been recognised as a reliable, Dutch-designed and engineered, Dutch-built yacht.”
The interior layout and propulsion package remain under wraps.
Currently under construction at Dutch family-owned shipyard Altena in North Brabant, it is scheduled for delivery at the end of 2021.
