Ferretti Group debuts wallypower58 in Venice

Wally Yachts, a brand of Ferretti Group, has unveiled its brand new 18 metre wallypower58 at the Venice Boat Show.

Borrowing design cues from the larger wallypower118, the new model aims to offer the same iconic appeal as the original - but with a few key upgrades.

Central to the yacht’s design is the cockpit, which features unfolding bulwarks that create a 25 square metre open-air living space complete with sunpads shaded by an optional awning. The awning has been carefully designed to withstand high speeds while the yacht is underway.

A hydraulically-powered swim platform and passerelle ensure easy access to the water when at anchor, with a full-height shower integrated into the side of the platform that allows guests to rinse off before stepping on board.

The yacht’s cockpit leads to a saloon, which volunteers a dining table finished in non-slip coating that can be folded up to conserve space. There is also a small galley area and helm station. Encasing the entire area is pillarless curved glass that promotes a seamless connection to the world outside while keeping guests dry and sheltered from the elements.

The wallypower58 has a couple of configurations on offer. The model on display at Venice is home to a double cabin in the forward part of the yacht, with plenty of storage and a private en suite.

There is a second day head in the small interior saloon of the yacht. Buyers can opt to turn one side of this saloon into a second cabin if they so choose.

The interior saloon is windowless, to ensure the yacht maintains its sharp, futuristic profile. However, there is a pair of cameras fitted to either side of the hull that can be live-streamed into screens in the saloon, allowing the outside world in.

The Volvo IPS propulsion system has proprietary joystick manoeuvring, dynamic positioning, and Assisted Docking software, with a choice of engine powers to deliver a long-range cruising speed of over 30 knots.
