Weaver Boat Works delivers flagship yacht DC97 18 Reeler

12 February 2019

American sportsfish specialist Weaver Boat Works has delivered its 29.56 metre flagship yacht 18 Reeler to her American owner.

Built with an enclosed bridge, the sportsfish yacht features naval architecture and exterior design by Donald L. Blount. The yacht was delivered in December and has already visited Wrightsville Beach, the Keys, and is currently on the way to the Bahamas.

Vital statistics include a 7.21 metre beam and a maximum draught of 1.9 metres — ideal for shallow waters cruising in the Bahamas and the Caribbean.

Power will come from a pair of 2,600hp MTU 16V2000 engines that should give 18 Reeler a sporty turn of speed out on the open water to match her sleek styling. Meanwhile, the total fuel capacity of 15,900 litres means that extended cruising is very much on the cards.

The large aft cockpit features a central staircase leading into the saloon, with plenty of storage space for live bait wells and fishing rods either side.

Accommodation meanwhile includes a full beam master and six staterooms plus crew quarters.
