Dutch yard Zeelander Yachts has delivered the first hull in its flagship series, the Z72.

The 22 metre yacht has been delivered to her American owners and been named Dylan Lucy.

Exterior design has been handled by Cor D Rover in collaboration with Zeelander's in-house design team.

The result is a "timeless exterior design" that "blends a stylish appearance with some truly unique superyacht features," the yard said.

Exterior design has come from Cor D Rover while interior styling is being handled in-house

Key exterior features include an S-Shaped deck line, rounded stern and “more curved surfaces”. When extended, the swim platform extends the length of the boat to over 22 metres.

Meanwhile, the “sophisticated but comfortable” interior design has been handled entirely in-house and features panoramic windows and large social areas.

Zeelander's marketing manager Floris Koopmans said: "Owners of Zeelander Yachts know what they like. When they share their experiences, we know that no one has a better sense of how the boats are used. That discussion has led the way to the Z72.”

He added: "We have made the boat very open, spacious and airy, so you always have the feeling that you are outside at sea. A very large convertible sunroof and a retractable aft sliding window gives the Z72 the appeal of a cabriolet, but without its limitations.”

The yacht's owner was actively involved in the design process, the yard revealed. Being someone who "loves a good party," the yard worked hard to accommodate more of his guests.

“The Z72 has extra party lights and the biggest JL sound system on all spaces on the boat. Helm, kitchen, aft deck, front deck all the rooms and even the swimming platform,” said Koopmans

Accommodation is for six guests in three staterooms comprising of a master suite and two guest doubles. The crew quarters sits on the lower deck, adjacent to the tender garage.

Power comes from triple Volvo Penta IPS engines for a top speed of 40 knots. The Z72 will have a range of 680 nautical miles at 24 knots.
