Vancouver-based studio ER Yacht Design has unveiled Untouchable, a 110-metre superyacht concept described as a "modern gentleman's yacht", combining long-range cruising capability with restrained, timeless styling.
Conceived with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, the concept is characterised by long horizontal lines, sweeping deck overhangs and uninterrupted glazing intended to blur the boundary between the interior and exterior living spaces.
Light-toned natural woods, soft ivory textiles, stone surfaces and warm metallic accents throughout create a calm, contemporary atmosphere throughout the principal guest areas. Her large main saloon benefits from panoramic glazing, expansive seating areas and a clear central axis leading to the formal dining space.
The owner's suite comprises a full-beam sleeping area, private lounge and spa-style bathroom.
Floor-to-ceiling glazing extends along the principal guest decks, adding natural light to the interiors. An expansive foredeck offers any potential owner a private exterior retreat, while the upper deck is a multi-use space for dining and lounging with guests.
Rather than an enclosed beach club, Untouchable is designed with a multi-level waterfront area centred around a large swimming pool on the upper beach club terrace. Large fold-down hull-side terraces expand the usable platform over the water and open the beach club laterally to the sea, transforming the stern waterfront environment for swimming, socialising and accessing tenders and water toys.
The proposed propulsion package targets a cruising speed of around 17 knots and a range of more than 8,500 nautical miles, allowing for extended independent cruising. A dedicated helicopter deck includes refuelling and defuelling systems to support private transfers and operations in remote cruising areas.
“With Untouchable, we wanted to create a yacht that does not depend on fashion or visual tricks”, said Ivan Erdevicki, founder and principal designer at ER Yacht Design.
“Her character comes from proportion, surface, and the way each deck flows into the next. She is powerful but calm – and the longer you look, the more detail you discover.”
Untouchable follows the unveiling of the the 61-metre superyacht concept called Logos and in May, the studio launched a new 40-metre explorer yacht concept known as ER 40.
