The winners of the Monaco Yacht Show’s sustainability initiative, Blue Wake, have been revealed for 2026. Launched last year, the Blue Wake programme aims to highlight evidence-based innovations driving the superyacht industry toward greater sustainability.
Managed by the Water Revolution Foundation (WRF), accredited exhibitors gain high-profile visibility throughout the show, creating opportunities for yacht owners, builders, investors and industry leaders to engage directly with pioneering sustainable solutions.
This year, a shortlist of 60 exhibitors participated in the Blue Wake Programme at Monaco Yacht Show, each assessed under strict environmental criteria across five key categories: Emission Reduction, Material Circularity, Eco-Design and Innovation, Marine Ecosystem Protection and Yacht Services.
From these 60 participants, an expert jury selected five innovators to receive the prestigious Blue Wake Awards 2026 – the pinnacle of recognition within the programme. Ares Yachts' 62-metre flagship Simena was also awarded a special Jury Prize.
Nominees underwent a rigorous selection process and were assessed across four key environmental focus areas. Their claims are fact-based, backed by data and, where possible, verified by third parties. Solutions that met the required standards were shortlisted, after which the jury voted to determine the winners - ensuring that only credible, high-impact innovations driving sustainability were recognised.
Toby Moore, a judge on the panel and CEO of Informa Prestige, said, "As the yachting industry continues to advance its environmental commitments, one question has grown more pressing: how to distinguish genuine progress from intention alone. Blue Wake was created in response – a framework to help identify environmental solutions supported by evidence rather than claims alone.
"These winners represent the very best of what our industry can achieve when innovation meets accountability. Congratulations to everyone involved – they are the true pioneers of conscious luxury."
The 2026 Blue Wake Award winners are:
- Luxury Services & Products: Bespoke Projects
GreenCast recycled-monomer (R-MMA) cast acrylic for yacht interior furniture, joinery, and special finishes.
- Nautical Supplier: Termodinamica
Direct expansion marine HVAC (inverter heat pump).
- Builder/Refit Shipyard: Amico & Co.
Sustainable superyacht refit shipyard in Genoa, Italy, featuring 1 MW photovoltaic installation, full-dock shore power, energy-efficient permanent sheds, onsite wastewater treatment, and 25-category Eco-Island waste recovery.
- Tenders/Watertoys: TYKUN
TYKUN X and TYKUN XII aluminium-hulled tenders, declared through a full cradle-to-grave life cycle assessment with an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) in preparation.
- Yacht Services/Brokerage/Charter: Marina Ibiza

A 62-metre sailing yacht with parallel-hybrid propulsion system featuring 220 kW electric motors, battery-supported silent operation, and regeneration under sail.

Special thanks to VPLP Design for paving the way as the only design firm participating in Blue Wake this year. Their Wind Voyage project features OceanWings® rigid wings, proven at sea with operational data showing 1.3 tonnes of fuel saved per day per sail – a 25 to 50 per cent reduction in fuel consumption.
