Everything you need to know about the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2025

7 October 2025 • Written by Hannah Rankine for Informa Markets

The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) returns this autumn for its 66th edition, taking place from 29 October to 2 November 2025. Held annually in the "yachting capital of the world", the event transforms Fort Lauderdale into a vibrant showcase of world-class vessels, cutting-edge marine technology and luxury lifestyle experiences, drawing more than 100,000 visitors from around the globe.

As the world’s largest in-water boat show, FLIBS spans seven show locations, offering something for every type of boating enthusiast, from sportfishers and centre consoles to the latest superyachts, accessories and water toys.

"FLIBS is more than the world’s largest in-water boat show. It is an economic powerhouse for our region, generating more than $1.78 billion in economic impact each year and supporting over 100,000 jobs," says Phil Purcell, president and CEO of the Marine Industries Association of South Florida (MIASF). "The growth and enhancements we are seeing this year, from the redevelopment of Pier Sixty-Six to the expanded luxury experiences and marine industry programming, reinforce Fort Lauderdale’s position as a global leader in both boating and business."

A new chapter for Pier Sixty-Six

This year’s show coincides with the highly anticipated reopening of Pier Sixty-Six Hotel & Marina, following its extensive redevelopment. The Pier Sixty-Six Marina will be fully occupied by the show, underscoring its importance as a key venue.

Pier South will once again be home to Superyacht Village, where the largest vessels in the show are displayed alongside luxury hospitality, high-end exhibitor showcases and industry seminars.

"FLIBS has always been about delivering an unforgettable experience for everyone, from lifelong yachting enthusiasts to families discovering the marine lifestyle for the first time," says Andrew Doole, president of US Boat Shows at Informa Markets. "With the reopening of Pier Sixty-Six, exciting new experiences like the Windward VIP Cabana Club, and the continued expansion of our show footprint, 2025 will be a year to remember."

The largest yachts at FLIBS 2025

As ever, the Superyacht Village will be the focal point for many visitors, showcasing an impressive line-up of some of the world’s finest yachts. Headlining the fleet is the 74-metre Amels Casino Royale, one of the largest yachts ever to appear at FLIBS. She will be joined by the 66.3-metre Feadship Hampshire, renowned for her all-white exterior lines and New England-inspired interior by Harrison Eidsgaard.

Two 55-metre sisterships will also be on display, not because they are sister models, but because Damen Yachting's Gene Chaser is the support vessel to Amels' Gene Machine. Owned by Dr. Jonathan Rothberg, an accomplished DNA sequencing scientist, Gene Chaser features a fully operational laboratory on board to conduct his research.

Additional highlights include the 49.8-metre Heesen Ela, part of the Dutch shipyard's charter-friendly Aluminium Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) series, and the 44.2-metre Pendennis sailing catamaran Hemisphere, one of the largest sailing catamarans in the world.

VIP experiences and hospitality

The Windward VIP Experience has been reimagined for 2025 with a host of new features. VIP guests can enjoy complimentary self-parking at Superyacht Village (first come, first served) before entering the exclusive Windward VIP Lounge, which includes gourmet cuisine, a premium open bar, private restrooms and sponsor activations.

From there, guests can travel by water to Bahia Mar and the new Windward VIP Cabana Club at Hall of Fame Marina, a chic waterfront retreat with shaded lounge seating, light bites and uninterrupted marina views. The Windward VIP Experience is presented in partnership with ONE Sotheby’s International Realty, the official Windward VIP Real Estate Sponsor.

General admission visitors can also enjoy lively hospitality spots open to all attendees, including the Goslings Island Bar and a Stella Artois waterfront barge and bar experience.

Getting around and special programming

The Broward County Convention Center will act as the show’s transportation hub, offering $20 daily parking, indoor exhibits and easy access to all show locations via shuttle buses, water taxis and ICON golf carts.

Inside the Convention Center, guests can look forward to a rich programme of events, including women-focused seminars, The Blue Wild Kid’s Corner, Don Dingman's Kids Fishing Clinics and Boating to the Bahamas sessions, ensuring that the show caters to seasoned professionals as well as families and newcomers.
