Superyacht design studio Eidsgaard Design is the brainchild of Peder Eidsgaard, who knew he wanted to be a superyacht designer when he was just 12 years old after reading about London’s superyacht design offices. He joined renowned superyacht designer Andrew Winch Designs in 1996, leaving to set up Eidsgaard Design in 2005 with Ewa Eidsgaard. Business partner Ben Harrison – who also worked at Andrew Winch Designs for seven years – joined the Eidsgaard team in 2007.
Eidsgaard Design’s team of seven undertake superyacht exterior styling and interior design work, but also cover private jet design and residential design for private clients.
The 77.7 metre Feadship yacht Tango won motor yacht of the year at the 2012 World Superyacht Awards for its distinctive exterior style and interior design, both of which were created by Eidsgaard. The studio’s collaboration with Feadship also includes both a 67 metre and a 57 metre custom yacht.
The studio also worked on designs for the yacht refit of SY_Angel’s Share_, which was a World Superyacht Award and International Superyacht Society award winner.
The studio won the Showboats Design Award for best custom tender in 2012 for the tender to Tango, built by EYOS/Compasss Tenders, and also undertakes design work for private jet and luxury residential projects.
Their superyacht concepts include 65 metre Panache developed with CMN; 70 metre and 90 metre concepts for the Bennetti Innovation Design Project in 2012; and BV80 – an 80 metre design for Blohm+Voss unveiled in September 2014.
