Italian shipyard Cantieri di Pisa has reported significant revenue growth since being acquired by Enrico Gennasio in 2021.
According to CEO Marco Massabò, Cantieri di Pisa's sales stood at €3 million in 2021, rising to €3.5 million the following year and €4 million in 2023. Part of this growth was fuelled by investments totalling €6 million since 2021 to expand and develop the yard's production facilities, which now occupy an area of 50,000 square metres with an additional refit area covering 24,000 square metres.
Another key part of the yard's repositioning strategy has been to bring on Antonio Luxardo as chief designer, who has since presented three new ranges including the Polaris 48, Saturno 56 and the redesigned Ahkir line, the latter of which was revealed at the Cannes Yachting Festival.
"Right from the outset, the goal of the new management team has been to restore [Cantieri di Pisa], which has made a mark in Italian yachting history with the construction of over 700 boats [since it was founded in 1945], to its pioneering role as an innovator and showcase of Made in Italy excellence throughout the world," a representative of the yard said.
Currently with an order book of €27 million, Cantieri di Pisa is working towards the delivery of a 24-metre 80 Veloce and a 37.5-metre explorer yacht with launches scheduled for 2025 and 2026, respectively.
