HY10, a UK-authorised Electronic Money Institution (EMI), has launched an invitation-only membership for UHNWIs, combining multi-currency payments infrastructure with a dedicated lifestyle concierge.
The model is designed to complement clients' existing private banking relationships by helping to address existing difficulties when dealing in cross-border payments, foreign exchange (FX) and time-sensitive lifestyle logistics.
“Our clients value reliability, speed and clarity,” said David Hunter, CEO of HY10. “HY10 provides regulated agility: multi-currency accounts, transparent pricing and a concierge team that understands the practical realities of living across multiple countries. We work alongside private banks, not in place of them.”
Membership is strictly either by invitation or by qualified application, with a cost of £10,000 per year. If approved, prospective members will be guided through an onboarding process to navigate proper Know Your Customer requirements.
“Younger principals and globally mobile families expect digital control coupled with human accountability and support,” Hunter added. “Our role is to remove avoidable friction and make the necessary steps clear, predictable and well-managed.”
What members can expect from HY10:
- Multi-currency e-money accounts (currently GBP, EUR, USD, CHF; additional currencies phased rollout), with Visa-powered debit spending and in-app controls.
- High transaction thresholds within regulated limits, with real-time monitoring and enhanced checks for larger or unusual payments.
- Transparent FX, with pricing disclosed up-front in-app before execution.
- Multiple supplementary cards with member-set controls (spend limits, approvals, instant notifications) - useful for family offices, household, schooling and travel.
- Human concierge, 24/7 coverage, integrated with the financial workflow to help coordinate complex purchases, bookings and settlements across time zones.
- Digital experience (app and web) with audit trails, receipts, and configurable approvals for principals and authorised assistants.
