In her new role, Cutolo will coordinate the company’s administration, finance, organisation and business development activities, working closely with the management team and the heads of operational areas to consolidate an integrated, efficient and long-term-oriented structure.

An Olympic sailor and manager, Myriam is said to bring a combination of discipline, decision-making ability and strategic vision, developed in highly competitive environments, to the company. Her professional path, which has been developed within Hydro Tec, led her to gain an in-depth knowledge of the organisation, its people and the processes within the superyacht and explorer yacht sector.

The appointment marks a milestone for the company, which was founded in 1995 by Sergio Cutolo and Silvia Himsolt, as part of Hydro Tec's ongoing organisational growth. Recent years have seen the firm strengthen its management by adding experienced leaders – including Nicola Camuffo as chief technical officer and Michele Lauriero as chief operating officer in 2025 – to support international expansion and collaborative leadership.

According to the company, the new appointment is not a succession but a strategic step to turn its accumulated expertise and design culture into a shared organisational asset.

Speaking of her new role, Myriam Cutolo said: “The greatest temptation, at a moment like this, is to think of it as a succession. In reality, it is not. Over more than thirty years, Sergio Cutolo built far more than a design studio: he built a culture, a vision and a wealth of expertise that today belong to all of Hydro Tec. My goal is not to replace my father, because a figure like his cannot be replaced, and there would be no point in trying. My role is to help ensure that what he built continues to grow and generate value through the people who lead and develop the company every day."

Sergio Cutolo added: “Seeing Myriam take on this role is a source of great satisfaction for me, not only as founder but also as a father. She learned to read the wind and the sea even before facing the challenges of life and work, and she brings that same determination to her role at Hydro Tec today."

He continued: "When we began Hydro Tec’s organisational strengthening process, we knew that a company’s growth depends on its ability to build a solid, competent team capable of sharing responsibility. Hydro Tec was born from a technical and design vision, but its real strength has always been the people who, over the years, helped build it and make it grow."

"Today we can count on an extraordinary team of professionals and managers who share values, skills and responsibilities. What we are building together is an organisation capable of evolving while maintaining the same quality, reliability and passion that have guided us from the very beginning. That is the most important guarantee we can offer for Hydro Tec’s future.”
