Why charter Nomad?
Built in 2003 by Australian shipyard Oceanfast, Nomad has a long list of exciting charter credentials and interesting corners on board. While the overall design is more classical, the yacht is equipped with modern amenities, including a Dolby Atmos cinema room, a dive centre and the latest tenders and toys. A top choice for entertaining, Nomad has an impressive sit-up bar on the sundeck (with stools also in the pool), and a dedicated barbecue area on the upper deck.
The interiors of Nomad were designed by Sam Sorgiovanni and are filled with classical woods, green leathers and brass finishes. Despite her classical feel, however, the yacht is bright and flooded with natural light. Cream furniture is found throughout the yacht, combined with classical greens and marble. The yacht is distinctive in its character – an interesting choice on the charter market.
Outside, Nomad has impressive deck space, namely the upper deck aft, thanks to the helipad, which can accommodate exterior gym equipment. The sundeck has a large swimming pool surrounded by sunpads, and there is also a dedicated observatory with red leather chairs, binoculars and charts for the more curious guests.
Interior mood
Upon first glance, the tone of Nomad's interiors is classical with Art Deco touches. Deep, precious woods, brass light fittings, marble and leather. But the difference here is that the yacht is filled with natural light. The main saloon is accessed by double sliding doors, flanked by glass cabinets filled with antique books. Three neutral coloured sofas sit around a coffee table, while a games table sits aft.
The dedicated interior dining area sits forward with large windows at either end and two marble-top dressers to the side. The classical theme remains, with classical art on the walls and a polished mahogany table .
An additional saloon lies on the upper deck, which has further space for lounging and can be used for formal or informal entertaining or afternoon tea. The main dining area lies aft of the saloon here in a winter garden arrangement, with retractable glass screens to protect guests from the elements. This space is also served with a dedicated barbecue area and an open kitchen so that guests can see the action.
Accommodation on board is for 12 guests across six well-appointed cabins, including a full-beam master suite, two large VIPs, and three double cabins. The classical theme is evident in the guest areas, giving the cabins a grand, ornate feel, with each en suite bathroom featuring dark marble to complement the wooden finish. The owner's suite also has a full office set up and extra seating.
Out on deck
Like all long-range superyachts, Nomad has a huge amount of deck space. While on charter, guests tend to gravitate to the sundeck, which features a large pool and a sit-up bar aft. Three stools are fixed in the pool, also sitting up to the bar. Meanwhile, additional seating is found forward of the skylounge observatory.
On the main deck aft, there is a huge space for lounging or curling up in a hammock with a good book. The space is sheltered due to the long helideck above and also has two tables for snacks and drinks. Below Nomad has a swim platform off the beach club, where guests can sunbathe or hop into the water with the array of water toys on offer.
Toys and wellness
Should guests wish to maintain their fitness routines on board this yacht for charter, they can do so with the array of gym equipment available. Machines can be set up on the heli-deck along with yoga mats and free weights. Though Nomad has a full diving setup too, with a professional dive instructor among the crew.
