Charter yacht of the week: The trendsetting 80m Oceanco motor yacht Batello

1 May 2026 • Written by Georgia Boscawen

Each week, we select one of the finest superyachts for charter. This week, we take a closer look at the 80-metre Batello, which is available for charter following a 2025 refit. Batello was built on the trendsetting Oceanco Y700 platform that turned heads when she first launched. Her Nuvolari Lenard design introduced features ahead of their time, from a heated swimming pool to a helipad; she continues to impress with a slew of modern updates.

Why charter Batello?

With a deep blue hull and white superstructure, Batello is instantly recognisable as a core member of the Oceanco fleet - an arrangement that also rings true for her sister ships, Wheels and Man of Steel, which share similar characteristics. It marks an important point in Oceanco’s history, which, at this stage, was one of the dominant shipyards in the 80-metre-plus space.

Her volume is vast for an 80-metre at 2,310GT. This is a natural benefit for the charter market offering spaces such as a beauty salon, a gym and a cinema. Deck space is also expansive and features a glass-backed pool with a contraflow, seating areas amidships and al fresco dining spaces. Accommodation on board is for 12 guests across nine cabins, including a huge owner’s suite that takes up almost half of the upper deck, with its own office and a walk-in wardrobe.

Interior mood

In 2025, Batello underwent an extensive refit, which saw an upgrade to her Pinto interiors by FM Architettura. The styling is filled with light woods, cream tones and taupe furnishings. Thanks to her huge windows, the yacht for charter is flooded with natural light. The main saloon transforms into a cinema room, complete with a drop-down projector for cosy nights on board, while on the bridge deck, there is a chef's station with BBQ and a sit-up bar, perfect for socialising over cocktails.

The full-beam owner’s suite is designed to be a private sanctuary, also featuring a terrace and two Jacuzzis. The yacht offers great flexibility in the cabin arrangements, making Batello a great choice for family charters.

Out on deck

While her huge interiors offer versatility and spaces for relaxation away from the elements, her exteriors are also a major draw. Should guests wish for some sporting entertainment, they can challenge one another to a game of basketball or pickleball on the versatile ball sports area on the bridge deck.

The yacht's main exterior dining area is on the upper deck aft, where a large rectangular table can accommodate the full complement of guests. Additional dining spaces include the circular winter garden, also on the upper deck, which features retractable doors to protect guests from the elements.

Toys and wellness

Wellness is a core part of Batello's offering and includes a dedicated wellness area that features a fully equipped gym, beauty salon and massage room, providing an oasis for rejuvenation at sea. Among her crew of 26 are a personal trainer, a yoga/pilates teacher, a spa therapist and a dive instructor.
