From romantic builds to pedigree classics, August saw superyacht sellers trim a total of €41.1 million from asking prices across 69 drops, according to data from BOATPro. BOAT rounds up five of the most eye-catching reductions making waves on the market last month, each seeking to tempt buyers looking for their next vessel.
1. Florentia - €3,000,000 price drop

Florentia received the largest price reduction in August, with a further €3,000,000 deducted from her sales listing with Rytis Babravicius and Jelena Vezia of Ocean Independence, following a previous €4,000,000 reduction in March. "Romantic" exterior lines by Stefano Vafiadis characterise the 2020 Italian build, which is home to a contemporary, nature-inspired interior design by A++ Carlo Colombo. Accommodation on board is for 12 guests in six cabins, including a main-deck master suite and a forward-facing VIP on the upper deck. Couach's 49.9-metre motor yacht Belongers, delivered in 2014, saw a further €2,000,000 price reduction to her sales listing with Dennis Frederiksen of Fraser and Hans Van Doornmalen of Edmiston near the end of the month, marking a compelling opportunity for one of only two yachts built from the French yard’s 5000 Fly 2 series. A €2,000,000 price drop marked Royale X's return to the market in mid-August with Burgess' Peter Brown and Thibault Roi, following a recent refit and upgrade works completed this year. When delivered in 2012, she became the seventh unit from the Mangusta 165 series penned by Italian designer Stefano Righini. Inside, bleached teak wood soles, limed-oak panelling, and cream furniture and soft fittings characterise her living spaces and accommodation, which sleeps up to eight guests in four cabins, including a full-beam master with a private office. Among her amenities, Royale X is fitted with a gym and media room - something which her brokers say is "unusual for a vessel of this type".

Delivered in 2007 with extensive refits in 2013 and 2024, she was designed by Diana Yacht Design and outfitted with rich-wood interior design by Donald Starkey. The sundeck is a notable feature, boasting a forward-facing observation sofa, an al fresco dining table, a Teppanyaki grill, a Jacuzzi, plus a 10-person "sit-up" wet bar. A sum of €1,049,000 was the amount deducted from Seleda 's sales listing with Bertrand Vogèle and Sebastiano Pitasi of NEXT Yachting in August. The price drop came less than three months after a previous €501,000 price drop was announced and just four months after she joined the market for the first time since her 2021 delivery. Despite a somewhat classical appearance on the outside, inside, the 47.4-metre motorsailer is open-plan and contemporary - decorated with dark wood flooring, smooth curvaceous lines and geometric shapes. The Turkish shipyard also penned her exterior design, while her naval architecture was developed by Ginton Naval Architects and interiors drawn by BTA Design. Accommodation on board is for 11 guests in five cabins.
