BOAT is delighted to announce that Logan Ware, commercial director for International Business Development of space exploration pioneers Blue Origin, will be keynote speaker at this year’s Explorer Yachts Summit, taking place at the Yacht Club de Monaco on 13 November 2025.
As one of the key figures behind Jeff Bezos’s space exploration company, Ware has led corporate strategy for the launch services market and managed the New Shepard Crew Capsule, the first full reusable sub-orbital launch capsule developed for space tourism.
On 20 July 2021, the company successfully completed its first crewed mission into space using the vehicle, carrying passengers Jeff Bezos, his brother Mark Bezos, Wally Funk and Oliver Daemen. At 18, Daemen was the youngest astronaut ever and at 82, Funk was the oldest.
Later that year, actor William Shatner accompanied Blue Origin's VP Audrey Powers, along with two other space tourists, on a New Shepard rocket as part of the Blue Origin NS-18 mission. In April this year the company conducted its first all-female space mission, featuring singer Katy Perry, journalists Lauren Sanchez and Gayle King, former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, bioastronautics research scientist and civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen and filmmaker Kerianne Flynn.
In his keynote, Ware will explore how Blue Origin is democratising exploration, opening new frontiers in space just as explorer yachts push boundaries at sea. He’ll trace Blue Origin’s journey, share its mission to make space more accessible and offer a glimpse into a future where humanity ventures further than ever before.
The annual one-day Explorer Yachts Summit, held in association with Damen Yachting, brings together leading experts from across the world to address the hottest topics in exploration yachting. This year’s talks include How to design an onboard lifestyle for the wildest adventures; Beyond the Poles – what untapped destinations are there left in the world?, plus the debate: Are permits holding back exploration?
