In the run-up to the 21st edition of the World Superyacht Awards, some of the industry’s most experienced yacht owners gathered in London for the annual judging weekend, held on 26–28 February. Over three days of discussion, dining and cultural experiences, the judges convened to determine the winners of this year’s awards – widely regarded as the most prestigious accolades in the superyacht world.
The event was hosted at The Cadogan, A Belmond Hotel, a storied London address ideally located between Chelsea, Knightsbridge and Belgravia. Once home to literary icon Oscar Wilde, the historic hotel has long been a gathering place for society’s most fascinating characters.
The 2026 ceremony will return to Venice on 1–2 May, with this year’s nominees now officially announced.

Proceedings began on Thursday evening with an informal reception in the Oscar Wilde Royal Suite at The Cadogan, where judges gathered for drinks ahead of the weekend’s deliberations. The evening continued with a three-course dinner in the Oscar & Lillie private dining room.
The judges’ meeting
Friday marked the heart of the judging weekend as the judges spent the day reviewing and debating the year’s most exceptional yachts. Drawing on their collective experience as owners and industry authorities, the panel carefully evaluated each finalist before selecting the winners across the various categories.
The partners’ programme
While the judges deliberated, their partners enjoyed a curated programme of their own titled A Date with Dior. The morning began at the Christian Dior Boutique, where guests were welcomed with champagne, tea, coffee and a selection of pâtisserie and petite cakes, followed by a private preview of the latest collection and lunch at a nearby local restaurant.
The judges’ dinner
On Friday evening, the judges gathered for an exclusive dinner at Cantinetta Antinori London. The restaurant brings the culinary traditions of Tuscany to the British capital, celebrating the heritage of the renowned Antinori family.
Cultural day
The weekend concluded with a cultural programme on Saturday, beginning with a visit to the Montblanc Boutique. Here, guests explored the house’s heritage, artistry and craftsmanship, gaining insight into the precision and tradition behind the brand’s writing instruments and luxury goods.
The experience continued at Il Gattopardo, where the group took part in an exclusive calligraphy and poetry workshop celebrating the art of fine writing, followed by an Italian lunch.
With the winners now decided, anticipation is building ahead of the World Superyacht Awards ceremony in Venice this May. Tickets for the event are still available. Please contact the BOAT International events team for further information.
