Kate Middleton and Ben Ainslie America's Cup bid
1

London, 2014

As she prepares to head to the opening event of the America's Cup in Portsmouth this weekend, we show you how to recreate Kate Middleton's top five nautical looks...

London, 2014

In June 2014 the Duchess of Cambridge joined Ben Ainslie at the National Maritime Museum in London to launch Britain's America's Cup bid. The Duchess supported the bid as part of her role as patron of The 1851 Trust, a charity which aims to introduce a new generation to sailing.

For the event she chose a nautical-inspired dress from British high street favourite Jaeger worn with custom Alexander McQueen pumps, a Cartier watch and Russell & Bromley clutch bag.

Get the look: Boucle trim dress, £99 (was £225), Jaeger; Florisa navy court shoes, £160, L. K. Bennett; Ballon Bleu de Cartier watch, £4,000, Cartier; Muse suede clutch, £255, Stuart Weitzman for Russell & Bromley
