BOAT International welcomed members of its Owners’ Club to New York on 3 December for an intimate evening hosted at the newly re-opened Waldorf Astoria Private Residences, kindly hosted by Knight Frank and the Waldorf Astoria team. Marking a significant moment for one of Manhattan’s most storied addresses, the event offered guests a first look inside the landmark following its highly anticipated return after several years of restoration.
The dinner was supported by event sponsors Bermuda Tourism Authority, Camper & Nicholsons, Amels and Maiora, with guests also receiving a festive Christmas decoration gift courtesy of Amels.
The evening began with standing canapés in the Winter Garden, set beside the residences’ indoor pool, where a jazz guitarist provided a relaxed soundtrack as guests mingled. The setting offered a glimpse into the refined lifestyle of the Waldorf Astoria Private Residences, which combine the building’s Art Deco heritage with contemporary interiors and an extensive suite of private amenities.
Guests were then guided through the residences to explore the facilities before making their way to the Chrysler Room, where floor-to-ceiling views of the iconic Chrysler Building and a harpist set the scene for a seated dinner. Catering was provided by Robert Kane.
