CBI-Navi

Located in Viareggio, in Italy’s Tuscany region, CBI Navi builds custom superyachts in aluminium and steel, drawing on the city’s centuries-old shipbuilding traditions.

History

CBI Navi was founded in 1984, capitalizing on its workers’ metalworking skill to build custom luxury yachts for demanding clients. In 2005, the shipyard was acquired by the Fipa Group of yacht builders, joining the brands Maiora, Intermare, and AB Yachts. The Fipa Group’s support enabled CBI Navi to evolve into a builder of large superyachts. Today, the shipyard offers new yacht construction up to 100 meters in length.

Notable Yachts

In 2006, CBI Navi launched the 36-metre superyacht Metsuyan. The full-displacement, steel-and-aluminium custom yacht features traditional exterior styling by Ginton Naval Architects and a classic interior by Ken Freivokh Design. An oceangoing vessel, her range is 4,600 nautical miles.

The shipyard delivered the 49.78-metre superyacht Aifos in 2011. Her striking, contemporary exterior styling and her interior design were created by Studio Vafadis. Built of aluminium and powered by twin 4,200-hp MTU diesel engines, she boasts a top speed of 24 knots.
