CMB Yachts
Located in Antalya, Turkey, CMB Yachts builds custom superyachts of composite and steel.
History
CMB Yachts was founded in 2007 in the Antalya Free Zone, where the shipyard and its clients may benefit from the zone’s tax advantages and from the skills of the Antalyan artisans and craftsmen, many of whom are the descendants of generations of local shipbuilders. The shipyard is an affiliate of the Basaran Group Companies, a major Turkish construction, energy and services conglomerate.
Notable Yachts
In 2010, CMB Yachts launched M/Y Mystic, a 46-metre superyacht featuring naval architecture and exterior by Diana Yacht Design. At the time of her launch, she was the largest composite luxury yacht delivered to date by a Turkish shipyard, demonstrating CMB’s skill with this construction technology. Mystic features an owner’s suite on her bridge deck and a spa/pool on her sundeck.
After touring Mystic, a trio of brothers commissioned CMB to build Orient Star, a 47-metre composite superyacht that the shipyard delivered in 2012. Within her classic interior, designed by Tara Bernerd & Partners, Orient Star accommodates 12 guests and 8 crew. Her maximum speed is an impressive 16 knots, and her range is over 3,000 nautical miles.
Specialisations
The sky seems to be the limit for the size of yacht this shipyard is capable of building, as CMB Yachts has a 74-metre superyacht on its order book. It specialises in wholly custom projects carried out in collaboration with notable yacht designers.
