Built in South Africa, Robertson and Caine’s Leopard Catamarans is a leading brand of catamarans in North America. Its global dealership network spans six continents and 20-plus countries.
History of Leopard Yachts
Leopard Catamarans opened in 2000 following a successful partnership with South African builder Robertson and Caine, which manufactured custom-designed catamarans for the global yacht charter company The Moorings. Initially focusing on sailing catamarans, in 2007, Leopard Catamarans ventured into the motor catamaran market with the introduction of the Leopard 47, highlighted by its increased fuel efficiency. In early 2012, the 1,000th Leopard Catamaran was launched, further establishing Robertson and Caine’s position in the catamaran market.
Notable Leopard Yachts
The Leopard 39 is performance driven and lies at the heart of the Leopard line. The Leopard 44 is unique in that the forward cockpit allows direct access from the saloon.
Designed by racing catamaran experts Mevlin & Morrelli, the Leopard 46 takes on many of the design ideas of the Leopard 40 and expands on them. The award-winning Leopard 48 is known for its spaciousness and once again builds on previous models. The Leopard 58 has a large flybridge, which is perfect for meals, lounging and taking in scenic panoramic views.
The Leopard 39 PC is a mid-size model with many of the features of a much larger yacht. The Leopard 51 PC now has a completely redesigned interior upgraded with modern appliances.
The Leopard Catamarans website includes a Build My Leopard tool, allowing users to “build” his or her dream boat by selecting a boat model, interior layout, voltage and additional available options and extras. After all preferences are entered, the user is then provided with a pricing estimate and a summary of his chosen options list.
