Founded in 2010 by naval architect and engineer Andrea Agrusta, a member of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME), NavalHEAD is an international naval architecture and yacht engineering company providing advanced engineering, as well as R&D support, to the global yachting and marine industry.

Headquartered in Trieste, Italy, NavalHEAD operates worldwide with a multidisciplinary team of more than 15 highly specialised engineers and technicians. Over the past 15 years, the company has delivered over 138 projects and played an active role in the engineering and construction of more than 300 yachts and vessels worldwide, from 30-metre pleasure yachts to large custom and high-tech vessels, working in close partnership with leading shipyards and clients across international markets.

NavalHEAD delivers a comprehensive set of services covering naval architecture, hydrodynamics, numerical simulations (CFD), structural and FEM analysis, systems and production engineering, and new design and manufacturing solutions. These technical activities are supported by strong research and development capabilities and an integrated project management and technical consultancy approach, enabling the company to act as a reliable interface between owners, shipyards, classification societies, suppliers and stakeholders throughout the entire lifecycle of a project.

Since 2025, the historic Trieste headquarters has been complemented by a new Viareggio hub dedicated to detailed and production engineering. Alongside its Italian presence, NavalHEAD maintains a well-established international footprint through long-standing collaborations and professional networks abroad, working with specialised partners - such as vibro-acoustic analysis and electrical systems design firms - to deliver a fully integrated naval architecture and engineering package to clients.

Over the years, strong working relationships have been developed even with the plan-approval departments of leading IACS member classification societies (RINA, Lloyd’s Register, ABS and DNV) as well as with major flag-state authorities.
