The 80-metre in-build explorer yacht Simon Fraser has received a €2,000,000 price drop to her sales listing with Scott Jones and Kevin Bonnie of IYC.
Currently under construction at the Lusben refit yard in Livorno, Italy, Simon Fraser has been completely redesigned following her original launch in 1960 by Canadian shipyard Burrard, to transform her into the ultimate expedition yacht. The, now, new build vessel is stamped for a delivery date of 2026.
Christened after the Canadian explorer of the same name, it is only fitting that the 80-metre is packed with expedition-capable features. She has been constructed with an ice-class steel hull, large onboard storage facilities and space for an array of amenities suited for longer trips.
Set to offer an impressive range of 11,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 10 knots, Simon Fraser is a yacht designed to suit an owner with an "adventurous spirit", who is "looking to explore everywhere from the Antarctic to Alaska", noted her broker.
Simon Fraser is also equipped with a touch-and-go helipad and her very own submarine complete with its own dedicated onboard garage. On the foredeck, there is storage for multiple 15-metre tenders and other watercraft, as well as an 11-ton crane on the bow for easy launching.
Her interior from British design studio, Kirschstein Design Ltd., is "timeless, yet contemporary", according to her brokers, clad in rich woods and neutral soft furnishings which are accented by pops of colour and vibrant artwork.
A wide beam of 12.8 metres and a volume of 2,125GT make plenty of space for a variety of different living spaces onboard. The large saloon offers a more formal experience, with a distinct dining area nearby, while the skylounge is more relaxed, dedicated to evening tipples, movie nights or games parties.
Heading outside, there are two large Jacuzzis surrounded by sunpads, several lounge and al fresco dining areas, and an on-water beach club perfect as a base for water activities or enjoying a cocktail from the bar.
As for accommodation, the 80-metre is set to host up to 24 guests in a 12-cabin layout, cared for by a crew of 14.
The RINA-classed yacht for sale will be powered by twin Caterpillar engines, able to reach top speeds of 14 knots.
Simon Fraser is now asking €1,900,000.
