40m Westport motor yacht Elysian sold

The 39.6-metre Westport motor yacht Elysian has been sold in a deal with Todd Rittenhouse of Worth Avenue Yachts representing the buyer and Michael Strassel of HMY Yacht Sales representing the seller alongside Boathouse Auctions.

The motor yacht was built in 2004 of GRP by Westport Yachts to designs by Greg Marshall with naval architecture by William Garden. A refit in 2016 included a new interior by Architectural Interiors, from stonework and soft furnishings to deckheads, as well as the addition of a new hardtop bimini on the exterior.

The main saloon is warm and welcoming, with comfortable seating, cocktail tables, a wine cooler in a custom cherry wood cabinet and an entertainment system including a 50-inch Samsung LED television on an electric lift system. Forward is a formal dining area with seating for 10 guests.

Accommodating ten, the layout of Elysian is that of the standard Westport 130 comprising a main deck master suite plus two VIP king doubles and two twins on the lower deck. 

Extensive deck areas allow for al fresco entertaining and dining on the large aft deck, complete with a teak dining table and chairs, built-in upholstered seating, a bar with three bar stools, a fridge and a 37-inch plasma television. 

The upper deck saloon offers another social space for guests to use, with soft furnishings and a coffee table. 

Proving to be a social hub across all decks, Elysian's upper deck features a rounded banquette and table alongside a spa pool, all under retractable shading for all-weather use. 

The sundeck features an expansive entertaining area, ideal for sundowners with built-in seating and large sun pads along with two 2.4-metre teak sunshade umbrellas.

The 309GT vessel is powered by twin MTU engines, recently overhauled, and cruises comfortably at 14 to 20 knots with a top speed of 28 knots. She has a range of 3,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.

Elysian was last asking $6,950,000.
