A new central agency has been announced on the 59.9-metre Austal motor yacht Idol, now listed for sale with Jonathan Barbe of Edmiston.
Delivered by Australian builder Austal Ships in 2007, Idol is a high-volume yacht at 903GT in "excellent condition" thanks to a 2022 refit, according to her broker. Exterior and interior design is owed to Italian designer Sam Sorgiovanni, with the latter supported by the commissioning owner's own design team and characterised by a bright white colour palette tempered by glossy black materials.
An impressive 10.6-metre beam combines with oversized windows to create airy and light living spaces. The main saloon is designed with a sociable layout, offering an open-plan space that blends multiple lounging areas on large sofas and a formal dining area for 10 guests. The white and cream colour palette gives the interiors a clean, fresh look throughout the yacht, adding to the appeal.
Her layout is "ideal for charter use" with 14 guests accommodated across seven cabins, including two VIP cabins on the bridge deck and a full-beam owner's suite on the main deck.
Al fresco dining is encouraged across all decks, beginning with the main deck aft, where a large dining table for 10 sits central to the monochrome deck alongside soft furnishings aft.
A second saloon on the upper deck provides an alternative lounging area, with two elongated sofas sitting adjacent to each other, offering a social setting for guests on board.
The main social hub is located on the spacious sundeck, where guests will find plenty of sunbathing opportunities, shaded seating and a sit-up bar. The deck blends relaxing, socialising and entertaining, with a highlight being the spa pool flanked by sunpads, looking out across uninterrupted views.
Other highlights on board Idol include a gym, a fully certified helideck for a Bell 429 (or equivalent) helicopter, a large tender and toy setup and the opportunity for "expedition-style provisioning".
Powered by twin Caterpillar 1,575hp engines, the yacht for sale can reach a maximum speed of 15 knots, a cruising speed of 12 knots and a range of 4,000 nautical miles.
Idol is asking €22,000,000.
