News just in from Bruce Schattenburg at International Yacht Collection of a $800,000 price drop this morning on his central agency listing, the 37.8m motor yacht Sea Owl, a past winner of Motor Yacht of the Year at the ShowBoats Design Awards.

“This yacht is outstanding in every respect,” says Bruce, “From her tank-tested naval architecture and high-tech composite construction to her state-of-the-art VSAT communications package, which makes her one of the few boats in the international superyacht fleet capable of supporting video conferencing.”

Sea Owl was built by Delta Marine in 1999. Professionally managed, she has been impeccably maintained and extensively updated.

The interior features a classic design by Claudette Bonville with updates overseen by Patrick Knowles and highlights include American cherry joinery and a spectacular stonework package by Jeff Homchick. Eight to 10 guests are accommodated in a full beam master suite, main deck VIP and two queen berth staterooms. Adding to her flexibility is a convertible skylounge that doubles as a fifth stateroom, complete with full size bath and separate shower. Sea Owl is now asking $8.95 million.
