95m Lürssen superyacht Whisper joins the market

The 95.2-metre Lürssen superyacht Whisper has been listed for sale with Will Christie of Christie Yachts. She joins the market following an extensive interior refit by Michael Smith Design, completed in 2025. 

Whisper was originally commissioned by serial superyacht and sports club owner Shahid Khan as a successor to his 68-metre (now 74-metre) Lürssen Atlas (ex Kismet). The brief was for a "caviar and champagne" superyacht, achieved using a jet-black mast and champagne-coloured hull, with Espen Øino chosen for the exterior design and Reymond Langton for the rich, Art Deco interiors.

She was delivered in 2014 by the German shipyard as the new Kismet and took home a World Superyacht Award the following year, praised by judges for her "impeccable construction, appealing exterior design, great deck areas and a tasteful interior that suits a wide audience". The 95.2-metre was listed for sale in 2023 following the anticipated arrival of her successor, the 122-metre Kismet (delivered in 2024), though she was quickly snapped up after just three months on the market.

Speaking exclusively to BOAT International, Whisper's listing broker, Will Christie, said: "Given the lack of boats for sale at the moment that are over 80 metres from northern European shipyards, I think this will be quite interesting to people. With the increase in new-build costs, if you were to build a comparable yacht today, I wouldn’t be surprised if you were getting too far off €400 million and waiting four, maybe five years - so she is an interesting opportunity given the current market conditions and construction costs." 

Christie noted that she is the ideal yacht for entertaining, with multiple social areas across all five of her decks. Similarly, she is great for families of all ages, which Christie explained makes her "pretty flexible" when it comes to her next owner. 

Stepping on board the 2,928GT Lürssen giant, an ornate, carved entrance greets guests as they enter her main saloon, which features a marbled floor and seating area to lounge on. An impressive atrium staircase leads up to the owner’s deck, flanked by floor-to-ceiling screens which can be independently adapted to stream different media. An added touch can be found at the base of the stairs, where a custom self-playing piano stands proudly next to a fireplace.

Further entertaining space can be found on the main deck, where a full-beam cinema doubles as an additional saloon. The full blackout curtains and 4K projector installed in the cinema ensure a quality experience when viewing. On the main deck aft, a comfortable built-in seating area with a firepit offers a welcoming lounging space, while a covered dining table for 10 can be found on the same deck, ideal for hosting large groups.

Whisper is designed to accommodate large parties or families, and can sleep up to 16 guests across seven cabins and a convertible office. The layout comprises a master suite with private dressing areas, individual offices and a his-and-hers en suite that can be separated by hidden sliding doors, both featuring large rain showers.

The owner's suite also boasts a private deck with a mosaic spa pool and access to the yacht's helipad - itself doubling as a basketball court, dance floor or additional lounging area. The remaining cabins include two VIP cabins, three convertible cabins and two double cabins, all with en suites.

Continuing on the theme of entertaining, the owner's deck features a spacious 18-seat dining table which can be extended for even larger parties. Accessible from the main staircase, an equally opulent but cosier bar with views of the Winter Garden aft and atrium space forward is offered. The Winter Garden holds a dining table and chairs to comfortably seat 18, as well as buffet furniture and a built-in lounging area aft.

Christie told BOAT that the interior refit aimed to make her interiors "more contemporary and light," particularly on the bridge deck, which has been transformed from a sports bar deck to a "beautiful Riva-inspired saloon." Her new interiors are decorated in a mixture of dark wood panelling and light leathers with modern features and marbled areas throughout.

The bridge deck aft boasts a large open deck plan with six sun loungers complemented by a casual seating area. The deck space is highly versatile, accommodating large events, transforming into a beach club setting and serving as an outdoor movie theatre in the evening.

Another standout is her sundeck, which sports an oval-shaped, mosaic-tiled design cascading down the deck, crowned by a raised spa pool that, being slightly raised, doubles as an observation deck. It benefits from a row of sunpads as well as optional shading for comfort from the sun.

A dayhead finished in a koi fish ceramic design completes the space, adding an artistic flair. Aft features another dining table seating 12 guests, protected from the weather, paired with a barbecue for more relaxed dining.

For those who wish to unwind, off the lobby on the lower deck is the spa, which Christie noted is a "stand-out part of the yacht." This includes a host of amenities such as a massage room, a hydrotherapy bath, a plunge pool, a hammam, a sauna, a shower and an ice maker.

The same area benefits from a gym equipped with Technogym, a cross-trainer, a treadmill, a power plate and multiple free weights. In addition to this, a glass door opens to give the gym al fresco space, with an area for yoga or Pilates. A beauty salon can also be enjoyed on the lower deck, with both a hairdresser and a nail technician, or, for easy access to the water, there is a beach club off the swim platform complete with a sofa and pantry.

Having been previously run as a highly successful charter yacht, Whisper holds a large selection of water toys, including jet skis, paddleboards, Seabobs and multiple tenders. 

The 2,928GT yacht for sale is powered by twin Caterpillar diesel engines, allowing her to reach a top speed of 17 knots and a maximum range of 6,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 12 knots.

Whisper is asking €149,000,000. She will be at anchor during the 2026 Monaco Yacht Show and available for inspections in the South of France on 1 and 2 September.
