Superyacht spas designed for ultimate relaxation

15 January 2026 • Written by Gemma Harris and Holly Margerrison

Onboard wellness is undeniably an increasing priority for superyacht owners. No longer are spas justified by a simple massage table, but are now a whole package for relaxing into the most luxurious and advanced therapies. From Balinese-inspired sanctuaries to Japanese-themed retreats, all complete with countless amenities and most spanning entire decks. For true wellness at sea, discover the finest superyacht spas on board…

Kismet's Balinese-inspired spa

After her debut at the 2024 Monaco Yacht Show, the 122-metre Kismet has been a regular on ‘best of’ lists ever since, thanks to her endlessly impressive lifestyle amenities, which include the wellness suite dubbed "seven-star" by her builder Lürssen. Award-winning interiors from Reymond Langton result in the spa featuring every conceivable indulgence, including the latest in hot and cold technologies: a cryotherapy chamber, a hammam, a sauna, an iced plunge pool, an ice-shaving station and heated loungers. A private treatment room also includes a massage table, a waterfall shower and a chromotherapy bathtub. Within this Balinese-inspired spa area, the “steam fireplace", surrounded by natural elements, provides a private escape with glass panels that switch from clear to opaque. Complementing Kismet's spa is a state-of-the-art gym, a juice bar and a dedicated yoga studio.

Renaissance’s world-class retreat

Launched in 2023, the Freire-built Renaissance was a Bannenberg & Rowell project that quickly earned its place among the most expensive charter yachts on the market. With six decks of amenities, one of the owner's many briefs was to deliver the “best big spa". The dedicated spa deck complements the owner’s deck, focusing on wellness. Guests are welcomed into the spa space, featuring carved limestone walls and recessed floor lighting that set a relaxing tone. World-class facilities include a hammam, sauna, hot and cold plunge pools, multiple treatment rooms and a hair and beauty salon. Part of the spa deck has also been prioritised for the large, fully outfitted gym area. For added exclusivity, the owner’s cabin also features a private terrace with its own spa pool.

Moonlight II’s full-beam Grecian spa

Neorion's 91.4-metre Moonlight II spans the full beam with a standout Grecian-inspired wellness suite. Originally launched in 2005 and relaunched after a 2015 refit, her spa interior by H. Poulias is a vibrant homage to classical Greece, featuring marble pillars, a blue-tiled Jacuzzi and goddess-like artwork. Commissioned by the late Andreas Liveras, a pioneer in superyacht charters known for introducing large-scale spa, Moonlight II continues his legacy. The lower-deck spa area offers a massage room, sauna, steam shower, beauty salon and onboard medical facility. Qualified specialists are on hand to provide treatments, while a fully equipped gym ticks the fitness needs box. Passenger Ship-certified, she can accommodate up to a party of 36 to enjoy her wellness amenities, as well as many other charter features.

Sparta’s Japanese-themed spa

Heesen's 67-metre Sparta, launched in 2025, is the builder’s largest steel flagship and includes a showcase of award-winning “extraordinary features.” Penned by Winch Design inside and out, her design centres on nature-focused themes, with each deck reflecting water, earth and air - the perfect backdrop for wellness. Taking up 65 square metres midships on the lower deck, guests will find one of the largest gym and spa layouts on a yacht of this size. At its heart, a Japanese-themed spa pool with circular wood panelling sets the tone, complemented by dramatic jade-veined marble and elegant lighting. Facilities include a sauna, an experiential shower and a mosaic-lined Turkish steam room with curved glass walls. An open-plan gym adds to Sparta's wellness offerings.

Luna’s nature-inspired wellness space

This Oceanco motor yacht is instantly recognisable for Luiz de Basto's shark-inspired exterior, but the 90-metre Luna also has equally striking interiors thanks to Nuvolari Lenard's nature-inspired design features. Throughout, 120 different fabrics, artistic finishes and an extensive use of glass were used to create an impressive aesthetic, which was “very complex to execute.” Within the yacht, her well-appointed spa area sits. A wellness space that includes a Hammam, sauna and dedicated massage room, with treatments using Elemis products. Guests can also enjoy a fully equipped 70-square-metre gym with floor-to-ceiling windows on the main deck. While elsewhere, the upper-deck owner’s suite offers a private terrace and its own spa pool, making Luna the perfect wellness retreat for up to 12 guests across seven cabins.

Flying Fox's two-deck wellness wonderland

Turning heads and luring A-list clientele in on the superyacht charter scene since 2019, Lürssen's 136-metre Flying Fox is still today one of the most expensive yachts for charter. More than earning this status is thanks to her endless amenities, including a spa and sports area that spans over two decks. Here, guests will find the 400-square-metre spa with direct sea access, heated limestone floors and a spa pool that quickly switches between icy and steaming. Setting new benchmarks, Flying Fox was also the world's first yacht to install a cryosauna on board. Adding to the wellness facilities is the fully equipped Technogym fitness centre, a 10-metre swimming pool and a wide range of toys.

Ahpo's leafy retreat

Curves, leaves, waves and bamboo – Ahpo's impressive spa was designed by interior outfitter List but guided by all things Gaia. Found on the lower deck of this Lürssen yacht in the beach club, it encompasses a plunge pool, a Himalayan salt sauna, a Hamman and a massage room, each decorated with nature-themed mosaics and twinkling fibre optics in the ceiling. The wellness space on board the 115.1-metre superyacht also features its own hair salon, a fountain carved from ivory and onyx and a backlit statement wall, made by pressing artificial bamboo between two glass panes. The president of Moran Yacht and Ship, who was heavily involved in the creation of Apho, describes the beach club as having “the most amazing spa I’ve ever seen on a yacht".

Force Blue's candle-lit Swiss spa

Captain Tarquini once called this spa "the pearl of [Force Blue]". Candlelit, black-tiled and staffed by a Chenot-trained therapist, it's easy to see where he was coming from. The wellness offerings on board this 70.6-metre Royal Denship superyacht include a hair styling and make-up room, a separate massage room and a Hammam – though the "emotional shower" is the spa's conversation starter. On either side of the shower are alcoves with Chenot-derived pieces of speciality spa kit, a heated table used for mud wraps and a hydrotherapy bath for improved circulation and jet lag recovery. Stairs from the saloon lead directly to the spa, so it is easily accessible and can be enjoyed even when underway. Alongside the spa, she has two gyms, one indoor on the lower deck and one open-air on the sundeck.

Q's warming wellness centre

Converted into an explorer by Icon Yachts in 2020, the 68.2-metre Q has been designed for cruising cold-weather climes and has the superyacht spa to match. Warm travertine and teak help guests warm up after a day on the slopes or an ice-cold shower – and the alpine comforts continue with warmed benches, a sauna and a snow machine.
