Classic 39m canoe-stern Astilleros Armon motor yacht Meserret sold

11 May 2026 • Written by Emily Dawkins and Lucy Pughe-Morgan

The classic 39.3-metre motor yacht Meserret has been sold, with Alp Kismir of Camper & Nicholsons representing the seller, whilst the buyer was represented by Marcel Busse from Yachtzoo. She will be renamed Arriva.

Delivered in 1981 by Spanish shipyard Astilleros Armón, Meserret was constructed in steel to a design by Paolo Scanu with naval architecture by Don Francisco Diaz Madarro. The motor yacht, who is most recognisable for her canoe-stern design, was fully rebuilt between 2001 and 2002 with a complete interior and exterior overhaul, and underwent an additional extensive refit in 2020 with works including the installation of zero-speed stabilisers.

She is Lloyd’s classed, MCA compliant, and "charter-ready under the Maltese flag", said by her brokers to offer "classic gentleman’s yacht charm".

Meserret was last asking €3,400,000

Accommodation on board is for 12 guests in six en suite cabins, including a master suite and a VIP on the main deck and a second VIP and three twins on the lower deck. There are further quarters for a crew of seven.

In keeping with her classical appearance outside, Meserret is just as elegant inside. Rich teak panelling is paired with light fabrics and pastel soft furnishings throughout, with the spaces made to feel even larger thanks to multiple wide windows across each deck. As a result of her rebuild, she blends classic woodwork with contemporary amenities.

On the main deck, guests will find comfortable living areas, including the main saloon with a cosy sofa space, and the large aft deck with built-in sofas that hug the curve of the stern. Moving to the upper deck, there is a U-shaped lounge and dining area beneath a large awning to stern, while inside offers a secondary saloon. Forward of the upper deck, there is further seating for views over the bow during cruising. Meanwhile, the sundeck is home to a Jacuzzi flanked by sun pads.

According to BOATPro, she has had only two owners since new

The 289GT yacht for sale is powered by twin Caterpillar 850hp engines, propelling her to a top speed of 14 knots and a cruising speed of 11 knots with a range of 5,000 nautical miles at 10 knots.

Meserret was last asking €3,400,000.
