Alev Karagulle writes in to say that Burgess has signed the central agency for sale of a very impressive superyacht currently under construction at Germany's Nobiskrug yard. Built on the same hull design as the award-winning Siren, the new 73.5m Sapphire is due for delivery in April 2010, in time for the summer Mediterranean season.

She has a sleek low profile and eye-catching exterior lines by Newcruise Yacht Projects and a contemporary interior, also by Newcruise. Accommodation is for 12 guests in an owner's suite, VIP and four double/twin cabins and there is a versatile upper deck area including indoor/outdoor main deck bar, Jacuzzi and heli-pad. Sapphire promises a powerful performance with a maximum speed of 17.5 knots and cruising speed of 15 knots. Equipped with Quantum zero-speed stabilisers, Sapphire is asking €80 million.
