News in from Camper & Nicholsons that Bob O’Brien has sold the 30.5m aluminium motor yacht Madcap representing buyer and seller.

Built by US superyacht yard Palmer Johnson to a design by C Raymond Hunt, Madcap was launched in 1999 and has had several upgrades since. Accommodation is for six guests in three staterooms plus four crew members, including a full beam master stateroom. All staterooms have full en suite bathroom facilities.

A restful, elegant interior features woodwork in anigre, makore and maple with granite accents and fine fabrics. She boasts extensive deck spaces and has an oversized swim platform doubling as a beach club.

A shallow draft enables Madcap to access those more remote locations and twin 1,350hp engines give her a cruising speed of 17 knots.

Madcap was asking $3.5 million.
