€1M price drop on New Zealand Yachts wave piercer Spirit

23 March 2022• Written by Tom McGhie

The 35 metre wave piercing motor yacht Spirit has had a price reduction of €1,000,000, listed by RJC Yachts

Spirit was built in composite/Kevlar to a design by Bakewell-White Design and was delivered by New Zealand Yachts in 2005.  A wave piercer catamaran, her voluminous Ken Freivokh interiors were last refitted in 2016. The two canted counterbalanced rudders that are fitted allow for trimming of the vessel, and also reduce roll when turning.

My Spirit is now asking $6,900,000

Accommodation is expansive, as would be expected on a catamaran of this size, and consists of five cabins for 10 guests. These include a full beam master suite on the upper deck, two VIP suites and two twins, all with home theatre systems linked to a central server and all with en suite bathroom facilities. In addition, she has quarters for nine crew members.

The main deck saloon offers a lounge and a games table, with a dining table located starboard. Plenty of natural light is provided through large windows.

A U-shaped sit-up bar is located on the sun deck beneath a hardtop, while forward is a flybridge helm station with sun pads aft plus a hot tub further forward at the bow. The bridge deck is accessed by a spiral staircase port aft and acts as the private terrace for the owner, hosting a bar and seating.

Twin 1,400 Caterpillar diesel engines power her to a cruising speed of 10 knots topping out at 18 knots.

Spirit is now asking $6,900,000.
