The 46-metre modern-classic motor yacht Nadan has been sold in a deal with Dirk Johnson of Edmiston representing the seller and Will Noftsinger and Paolo Ameglio of Denison Yachting introducing the buyer.
Delivered in 2009, Nadan is a rare example of a neo-classical cruiser built with an aluminium hull by American shipyard Burger Boat Company. With naval architecture by Bruce King, exterior design by Burger's in-house team and interior design by Ken Freivokh, Nadan draws admiration wherever she cruises.
Her Art Deco feel is evident once inside. Nadan's interiors are reminiscent of the 1920s and include showstopping features such as Madrona Burl raised wall panels inlaid with Macassar ebony.
The main saloon is home to a curved leather sit-up bar with custom-built stainless-steel stools, large sofas and a separate dining area. From here, a veranda is reached through Lalique glass doors.
There is a second saloon in the new skylounge – the result of an extensive 2019 refit – which comes with its own en suite fitted with large windows so guests need never miss a view. The saloon also features beautiful detailing, including mahogany panels, tongue-and-groove panelling and teak and holly flooring. A secondary refit period was also completed in 2021.
Nadan can accommodate a total of nine guests across four cabins, including a main deck owner’s suite, VIP suite, double cabin and a twin cabin on the lower deck.
Out on deck, the seven-person spa pool on the sundeck becomes a social hub, alongside the outdoor bar, al fresco dining and ample sunpads forward. Meanwhile, on the main deck aft, there is a large lounge area with two U-shaped sofas facing each other beneath the bulwark, plus some fantail seating on the stern.
The 271GT yacht cruises at 12 knots under twin Caterpillar engines. Her shallow draught of 1.8 metres means she can cruise in both the Bahamas and the inland waterways. She also comes with a Novurania tender (new from 2019), plus two dive tanks. Nadan has also recently completed her ABS class special survey.
