The 26 metre classic sailing yacht Sky has changed central agencies and is now listed for sale by Ad van der Vliet at Van der Vliet Quality Yachts.
Built with a mahogany hull on oak frames and teak superstructure by British yard Thetis Ware, Sky was delivered in 1890 as a gaff rigged yawl. Following all the mishaps and accidents that can befall a yacht of this age, she was brought back to her original condition during an extensive restoration in Spain carried out from 1997 to 1999. A further massive refit was carried out from 2008 to 2014 during which she received modern equipment and 27 of her oak frames were replaced.
Sky now has a completely new interior in Honduras mahogany accommodating four guests in an owner’s suite and a guest cabin, both sharing bathroom facilities, in this yacht for sale.
The saloon is spacious and elegant set-up with a mahogany table in the centre between two settees sporting classic blue leather cushions. At the sides are small lockers and a bookshelf, while to port space has been created for a television screen. Up on deck, a spacious cockpit is situated in front of the helmsman’s console and has teak seating with new cushions that have never been used.
She is equipped with a comprehensive set of navigation and communication equipment, suitable for longer trips at sea, and is powered by a single 220hp Mercruiser diesel engine.
Lying in Amsterdam, Holland, Sky is asking €975,000 with VAT paid.
