Columbus sold by Luke Brown & Wellington

4 August 2009 • Written by Malcolm MacLean

During a long conversation with Jim Wilkey of Luke Brown Yachts, he tells me that he acted for the seller in the recent sale of the 24.6m Columbus, with Murray Lord of Wellington Yacht Partners acting for the buyer. Jim goes on to say that he had four potential buyers lined up for this yacht and it was very much a case of first come first served.

Columbus is a custom, steel long range trawler yacht built by Canada's Cape Horn Yachts in 2003 and, with a 5,000 nautical mile range, has been proven to cruise the world in comfort and safety. She has five staterooms and her previous owner had just completed a dream cruise across the Pacific. Her asking price was $1.995 million.
