CdM explorer yacht Acala sold

29 October 2021 By Malcolm MacLean

The 31 metre CdM explorer yacht Acala, listed for sale by Alex Clarke at Denison Yachting, has been sold with the buyer introduced by Giancarlo Mussino of Sinos SA..

Built in steel and aluminium by Italian yard Cantiere delle Marche to a design by Hydro Tec, Acala was delivered in 2015 as the first yacht in the Darwin Class 102 explorer series. Accommodation is for 12 guests in five cabins plus crew accommodations for seven including a captain's cabin on the upper deck.

Acala was asking $7,995,000

The guest cabins are all on the lower deck, laid out as a master suite, two VIP suites and two twins, all enjoying entertainment centres, Samsung television screens and en suite bathroom facilities.

Both her main saloon and skylounge have floor to ceiling sliding glass doors that can be completely moved to the side thus combining interior and exterior spaces into one. Inviting furniture, custom interior decor, brass fixtures, and large windows give her an inviting feel.

Big boat customisations abound, from the dive centre in the lazarette that hosts a nitrox compressor, to air conditioning in the outdoor living areas. The swim platform has been enlarged so Acala can accommodate a five metre tender.

Her top speed is 13 knots and she boasts a maximum cruising range of 4,500 nautical miles at 10 knots with power coming from two Caterpillar diesel engines.
