7 December 2018 • Written by Malcolm Maclean

The 27.43 metre explorer yacht Gattina, listed for sale by Brazil Yacht Services, has been sold in an in-house deal.

The semi-displacement, aluminium-hulled Gattina was built in aluminium by Brazilian builder MCP Yachts with delivery in 2003 and underwent a refit in 2015. Her exterior was styled by the MCP Yachts team, in particular Manoel Chaves, who was responsible for the naval architecture. The yacht’s luxury interior styling is the work of Brazilian Christina Norris.

Gattina was asking $2,100,000

With regard to the accommodation, Gattina’s interior configuration has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests overnight in five cabins, comprising a master suite, two VIP staterooms, and two Pullman beds. If required, she is also capable of carrying up to four crew.

She is equipped with an ultra-modern stabilisation system that reduces roll motion effect out on the water and results in a smoother more enjoyable cruising experience underway.

She is powered by twin MAN V10 D2840 LE403 diesel engines, and she is capable of a top speed of around 19 knots while comfortably cruising at 10 knots. She can carry around 18,500 litres of diesel in her fuel tanks, giving her a range of 2,000 nautical miles. She has 33KW Kubota V3300/Stanford generators and her water tanks store around 7,000 litres of fresh water.

Gattina was asking $2,100,000.
