45m explorer yacht Prometej sold

The converted 45 metre explorer yacht Prometej, listed for sale by Marco Vandoni at Ocean Independence, has been sold with the buyer introduced by Enrico Mortola of Mortola Yacht & Ship.

Prometej was built in steel by Romanian yard Galatzi Cant Santiebul and delivered in 1957 as an ocean-going tug with an ice strengthened hull. She had a thorough conversion in 2005 to turn her into a go-anywhere expedition superyacht.

Prometej was asking $6,000,000

A minimalist interior with touches of ethnic décor accommodates 12 guests in a master suite on the upper deck, a VIP suite and three double cabins on the main deck plus two twin cabins below, all with en suite bathroom facilities.

A large saloon has comfortable seating, an entertainment centre and formal dining with seating for 12 guests while the part-sheltered aft deck offers a large area for al fresco entertaining and dining. Up on the sun deck are loungers, sun pads and a dining table and chairs sheltered from the sun by an awning.

She also a Bose stereo surround sound system and WiFi internet access in all guest areas. Additional features include the fact that she is now RINA classed, MCA compliant and has a gymnasium, steam room and hot tub to provide ultimate relaxation.

Twin 1,000hp Mitsubishi engines give her a range of 3,200 nautical miles at her cruising speed of 12 knots. Prometej also came complete with two tenders and a range of water toys.

Prometej was asking $6,000,000.
