6 May 2025 • Written by Emily Dawkins

The 43.6-metre classic Feadship motor yacht True North has received a $1,000,000 price drop to her sales listing with Kevin Merrigan and Kristen Klein of Northrop & Johnson

Launched in 1987 from the Van Lent shipyard, True North was constructed in steel and aluminium to an exterior design by Frits De Voogt with interiors by Susan Puleo. According to her brokers, the 43.6-metre yacht carries a "rich heritage of global cruising", thanks to knowledgeable and experienced owners, and was built for "serious exploration".

She underwent a comprehensive refit in 2021, including a full repaint, extensive work to meet Bureau Veritas 35-year survey requirements and more than $4,000,000 in capital improvements.

True North is now asking $8,995,000 with US duty paid

Accommodation is for up to 16 guests in five cabins, including a full-beam master suite with his-and-her en suite bathrooms finished in marble. On the lower deck, there are four versatile guest cabins, each with an en suite, while 10 crew are accommodated across five cabins.

The interior spaces of the classic motor yacht blend retro touches with contemporary style thanks to her 2021 refit. A nautical blue theme characterises True North's interior, with a mix of white and natural woods and geometric patterns hinting at a New England beach house style.

Her main saloon is complete with a lounge area and dining space for six, while the skylounge above acts as the perfect movie spot with an entertainment centre and comfortable seating.

Outdoor living can be enjoyed on the large sundeck with a Jacuzzi, swim-up bar and sun loungers, or on the covered aft deck or upper deck aft, which provide scenic al fresco dining experiences. Closer to the water, a sizeable swim platform is fitted with a deck shower and a ladder for easy access.

Powered by twin Caterpillar engines, the 403GT yacht for sale benefits from long-range capabilities of 4,000 nautical miles at 11 knots, while her maximum speed is 15 knots and her cruising speed is 12 knots. She is fitted with Quantum zero-speed stabilisers for additional comfort underway and at anchor.

True North is now asking $8,995,000 with US duty paid.
