The 39.9-metre sailing yacht Aristarchos has been sold with Vassilis Fotilas and Georges Bourgoignie of Fraser representing the seller and Praxis Yachts introducing the buyer.
Aristarchos was delivered in 2006 as the flagship of Finnish shipyard Nautor Swan by both length on deck and volume (185GT). She was constructed in GRP as the only Swan 131 model, penned by yacht design legend, German Frers. Recently refitted in 2022, Aristarchos has been "lovingly" maintained by her only owner.
An interior design by Rhoades Young accommodates eight guests in three cabins, comprising a full-beam master suite that boasts two double beds, plus a VIP suite and a twin cabin, in addition to a crew of six.
The sailing yacht features large sweeping decks coupled with a shaded cockpit for al fresco dining at anchor, while a twin helm and winches are positioned aft. Flush teak decks give way to a split-level main saloon that fills the leather and walnut-themed interior with natural light.
Following a series of extensive refits, Aristarchos' "Panamax" Southern Spars carbon fibre mast, boom, spreaders and boom-vang were repainted and have since benefited from a rigorous and well-documented maintenance program. Her 15-year special BV class survey was also completed in 2021.
Under power, twin 480hp Caterpillar diesel engines push the sailing yacht to a cruising speed of 12 knots, topping out at 13.5 knots, alongside a range of 2,000 nautical miles. Key specs include an 8.5-metre beam and a draft of 4.88 metres.
Aristarchos was last asking €7,500,000 with VAT paid.
