Vassilis Fotilas at Fraser Yachts tells me he's found a buyer for the 40.4m sailing yacht Ellen V listed for sale by Alex Horn at Top Yachts.
Built to ABS class in 2001 in steel and aluminium by Perini Navi and formerly called Thetis, she was refitted in 2006 including a repaint in Awlgrip. Ketch rigged, Ellen V boasts the usual Perini features including servo assisted sail controls, a retracting centreboard and captive winches.
An interior in warm cherry wood joinery has accommodation for up to nine guests in four staterooms. The full beam master suite has a king size bed and private lounge while the VIP stateroom comes with a queen sized bed. There are a further two twin cabins and all staterooms are equipped with television screens and full en suite bathroom facilities.
Twin MTU 496hp engines give Ellen V a range of 3,300 nautical miles under power.
Ellen V was asking €7.75 million.
