Grace

Jane Hardy at Peter Insull’s Yacht Marketing tells me that the 48m gentleman’s yacht Grace will be leaving her winter berth in Antwerp to start her summer cruise in a few day’s time. Built as a commercial vessel and classed for unlimited commercial navigation, she has a strengthened hull, propellers and rudders that allow her to operate through ice up to 40cm thick. Useful, as the owner intends to take her north this summer up beyond the limits of the Arctic Circle. Built in the style of the successful passenger vessels of the early 1900’s, with teak decks, bronze railings, deck fittings and lights, she will fit right in with the architecture of the harbours and small fishing ports of the Northern waters.

Grace is equipped for pollution-free cruising and with her extensive battery banks is capable of silent mooring at these idyllic locations. Jane assures me that the owner is willing to accommodate viewings, as Grace is currently for sale at €15 million.
