Jeff Stanley of Gilman Yachts contacts me to say he's signed a new construction project at Johnson Yachts in Taiwan.
The project is a custom 32 metre model, which includes the Johnson signature on deck master suite with a further five en suite cabins on the lower deck, accommodating 12 guests in total. Crew accommodations for up to five is aft.
Hull construction is in composite with a solid bottom and cored hull sides. The superstructure is cored as well. Stabilisation will be via ABT active fins and the latest SeaKeeper model 26 to be introduced this summer. It is their largest gyro to date. Power will be provided by twin 1,825hp Caterpillar C-32 engines giving a top speed of 23 knots.
Delivery will be July 2015 and this is the third Johnson yacht for the owner who will base the boat out of the British Virgin Islands.
