Manfred Haas at Haas International tells me he's found a buyer for the 26.7 metre sailing yacht Ithaka, listed for sale by Ad Van der Vliet at Van der Vliet Quality Yachts.

Ithaka was was built by Dutch yard Jongert in aluminium to a Doug Petersen design and launched in 2007 as the fifth hull in the yard’s successful 2700M series. Lloyd’s classed, she has a modern interior in pear wood and accommodates six guests in three cabins including a master suite and two guest cabins. Under power, a 257hp Scania engine gives her a cruising speed of eight knots.

Using the experience gained with earlier yachts in this series, naval architect Van Oossanen designed an ingenious wing keel with minimum draft and an elliptic balance rudder for better upwind performance and more stability.

Ithaka was asking €3.95 million with VAT paid.
