The 42.4 metre motor yacht Alive, listed for sale by Fergus Torrance at Torrance Yachts, has been sold with the buyer introduced by Onur Erardag at Nautique Yachting in Turkey.
With exterior styling and interior design by Omega Architects, Alive was built in steel and aluminium to ABS class by Dutch yard Heesen Yachts and delivered in 2014. An interior layout in rich fabrics and Macassar ebony accommodates up to twelve guests in six cabins while a further five cabins sleep nine crewmembers.
A large VIP suite is located on the main deck forward, while a second circular-shaped master suite is on the wheelhouse deck and features a centred king size bed, dressing room and gymnasium. This cabin is also equipped with floor-to-ceiling glass windows for panoramic views. Below deck lie two double and two twin cabins, all with entertainment centres, flatscreen television sets and en suite bathroom facilities.
Alive was the first yacht to be fitted with the Fast Displacement Hull Form and Hull Vane. Created by Van Oossanen Naval Architects, these two technical features serve to increase speed and lower fuel consumption by reducing resistance and increasing lift.
Twin 1,447hp MTU diesel engines allow a cruising speed of 14 knots topping out at 16 knots and a range of 5,000 nautical miles at 10 knots. For added comfort and safety she is fitted with Naiad zero speed stabilisers.
Alive was asking €18,500,000.
