Word just in from John Strader at HMY that he's found a buyer for the 26.5m motor yacht Monarch II, listed for sale by Norman Hoegen at MS Yachts in Cannes, France.
Built by Taiwan's Johnson Yachts in 2003, she has a four stateroom layout accommodating eight guests - all with en suite bathroom facilities, and there is space for three crew members. The interior is decorated throughout in satin and high gloss woodwork, but perhaps the most popular feature is a large flybridge with a wet bar, fridge and ice maker, electric barbecue and comfortable seating. Power comes from twin 1,500 hp MTU engines.
John Strader says, 'The purchasers are an American couple who intend to use her (now renamed Sapphire) this summer in the Med before bringing it back to the US this fall to her new home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.'
Monarch II was asking €1.3 million.
