58m Lürssen superyacht designed by Sir Norman Foster for sale

The legendary 58.5-metre Lürssen superyacht Ronin has joined the market with Tomaso Polli of Y.CO.

Delivered in 1993 by German yard Lürssen, Ronin owes much of her appeal to her unconventional design by Sir Norman Foster, also known for his work on The Gherkin in London and the equally unique Ocean Emerald. The hull was designed by Gerhard Gilgenast, who based the lines and performance on patrol boats, with Ronin able to hit an impressive top speed of 30 knots and cruising speed of 18 knots.

Ronin is asking €28,500,000 with VAT paid

The superyacht recently underwent a major refit valued at €16.5 million, which elevated her to "exceptional standards" that make her a "real opportunity on today's market", according to her broker.

Accommodation is for up to 10 guests across five cabins, including the owner's suite, alongside further quarters for 14 crew. The interior design is clean and bright, incorporating a predominantly white colour palette with soft touches of beige, grey and pinstripe patterning. To maintain those top speeds, Ronin's interior had to weigh no more than six per cent of the total displacement when being built, resulting in a honeycomb core in virtually every flat surface.

Leisure highlights on this yacht for sale include both formal and al fresco dining opportunities, a raised sunbathing platform and a basketball hoop on the main deck.

Ronin is asking €28,500,000 with VAT paid.
