Mark Duncan at Yachting Partners International sends news of a second central listing from AB Yachts – the 36m AB 116 currently in build with delivery scheduled for June 2011.
Using materials and technology originally developed for the aerospace industry, this ground-breaking superyacht is both light and very strong. Triple 2400hp MTU engines linked to waterjet drives offer a cruising speed of 44 knots and an almost vibration-free top speed of up to 50 knots.
“She is the result of a lot of thought and planning by the AB designers,” says YPI senior consultant Eric Althaus. “They have come up with a yacht able to navigate all sea conditions at high speed without giving up any of the comfort and space that is so much a part of AB Yachts’ DNA.”
Entirely custom built, the AB 116 accommodates up to 10 guests in a unique five stateroom layout and a very large flybridge is equipped with every imaginable refinement.
A joint listing between Eric Althaus and Will Allen, the AB 116 is asking €13,150,000.
