A new build 49.9 metre motor yacht project has been listed for sale by Peter Hurzeler at Ocean Independence.
Naval architecture is by Studio Arrabito and she is to be built by Italian yard Rossinavi to either Bureau Veritas or RINA class, currently code named the Endurance 50. The interior designer is to be selected by her new owner, although she is currently configured to accommodate 10 guests in five cabins including a master suite forward on the main deck with its own private sea terrace. In addition, there will be quarters for nine crew.
Features include a gym in the stern with amazing sea views, an expansive saloon and sky lounge, along with open aft decks for al fresco entertaining and dining.
This yacht for sale is fitted with an innovative diesel electric system that allows for economical cruising at 12 to 13 knots by using only one 950 kW Caterpillar generator. At 12 knots, her range is 6,000 nautical miles. Power is transmitted to two 360⁰ continuous rotation Rolls Royce azipods, each equipped with highly efficient counter-rotating propellers. Her dynamic positioning system is very important for an explorer yacht of this nature in that it can ‘hover’ for many hours over a protected area, for example coral reefs, without needing to use its anchors. Meanwhile, guests can enjoy scuba diving at leisure knowing that their yacht is ecologically sound in every way.
Delivery is available 26 months after contract signature and the Endurance 50 is asking €27.5 million.
